On the Water |
One of the highlights of this camping trip was the opportunity to go canoeing on Lac Wapizagonke. Novices and experts tested their skills in the slightly choppy water. The landscape was beautiful even in the drizzle. |
Some wildlife was seen in the lake. These loons were quite tame since they did not seem bothered by our presence. They would dive under the water and come up twenty feet away. |
These are some writings that we came across as we paddled back to the campground. These ones are found on a sheer rock outcropping on the lake's edge. They must have been written by someone sitting in a canoe. |
After a couple of hours of paddling, a rest is always appreciated. We stopped on an island and finished off the rest of the snacks we brought along on this trip. |
