The Youth participated in a weekend retreat at Camp Capernwray located near Chertsey, Quebec. The theme for this year was 'Know More Fear'.

The time was spent studying God's word, discussing issues in small groups, playing soccer, volleyball, basketball and table tennis and eating. The Capernwray staff did a great job with the music, bible study and food preparation.

Three talks were given by the Camp Director, Steve Theissen. Session 1 used Isaiah. 30:15 and I Sam. 17 to challenge the Youth with the questions 'In whom do I place my faith?' and 'Do I depend on God in difficult situations?'. Session 2 looked at Deut. 10:12, 17, 20 and Heb. 11:7 to point out that faith is only as good as what we place our faith in. Session 3 examined the story of Jacob and Esau (Gen. 25). The Youth were asked if they lived for the moment like Esau or if they depended on themselves like Jacob or if they trusted God enough each day to put their lives into His hands.

The following web pages show the fun that everyone had. Another Youth group was at the retreat at the same time. Some of the photos contain kids from the other group. Note that some of the pages may take time to load because the images average 60Kb each.
